Home invasion in Leamington leaves two injured

Two people were hurt during a home invasion in the Municipality of Leamington.

At around 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called about a break-in on Robson Road.

It’s reported two unknown people entered the home and confronted two people who were inside. The two occupants suffered minor injuries during an altercation.

Both the intruders left the scene in a vehicle.

Police don’t believe there is any risk to the public.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
