St. Andrew's annual Christmas concert returns Dec. 7

St. Andrew's United Church will hold its 12th annual Christmas concert at the Capitol Theatre.

The holiday tradition will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 7.

"This year's concert will be more epic than ever – a beautiful reminder of the talent that exists in our community and the joy music brings, especially in uncertain times," said St. Andrew's Director of Music Devon Hansen. "We are presenting pieces that will truly uplift and inspire every person in the audience."

The theme of this year's concert is "So This is Christmas," which is meant to highlight the balance between Christmas's commercial hustle and the true spirit of giving.

More than 140 talented community members including St. Andrew's Concert Choir, the CK Chamber Orchestra, Chatham's Three Tenors, and the Bel Canto Children's Choir will participate in the festivities.

Last year, over 1,000 people attended the concert and it's believed this year's attendance will exceed that total.

Tickets cost $30 and are available from the Capitol Theatre box office or from www.cktickets.com. Children 12 and under are free.

The proceeds will go towards the music program at St. Andrew's.
