Porchlight brings in $57K for Chatham Goodfellows

Another successful Porchlight campaign is in the books for the Chatham Goodfellows.

Hundreds of volunteers went door-to-door on Monday, December 2, collecting donations for their No Child Without a Christmas campaign.

A total of $57,000 was donated, slightly down from last year when they raised $57,680.

But more food was collected this year, with 120 banana boxes full of food, along with hundreds of toys.

The Chatham Goodfellows would like to thank everyone who donated, and all of the volunteers who came out.

Their next big fundraiser is Street Sales on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14.

Toy packing will take place December 9 to the 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the former Monsignor Uyen School on Lark Street, and delivery on Tuesday, December 17 starting at 5:30 p.m.

Food packing is set for Wednesday, December 18 at the Spirit and Life Center on Wellington St. from 8 a.m. until noon, with deliveries starting after.
