Chatham woman dies in crash near Ridgetown

A single-vehicle collision in Howard Township has claimed the life of a 34-year-old Chatham woman.

According to Chatham-Kent police, the vehicle was travelling on Ridge Line on Tuesday at around 10:20 p.m. when it crossed the road, struck a tree, and rolled onto its roof.

The crash happened between Kent Bridge Road and Shewburg Road, near Ridgetown.

The woman was later pronounced dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services.

The CK police traffic unit is still investigating what caused the vehicle to crash.
