CK Police briefs - Saturday, December 7, 2024

Chatham-Kent Police arrested three people on outstanding warrants Friday, December 6.

Police said a 37-year-old man turned himself in at Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters at around 2:30 p.m. He was wanted on several charges and was held for a bail hearing.

At 3:42 p.m. officers located a 41-year-old woman on King Street.

Police confirmed she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend and was arrested. The woman was released with a future court date.

Just before 9 p.m. Chatham-Kent Police located a 65-year-old man on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend. He was arrested and released with a future court date.

In total, Chatham-Kent Police arrested seven people on outstanding warrants over 24 hours.

Officers responded to a total of 221 calls for service.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
