No injuries after tractor-trailer fire on Hwy 401 near Dutton

There is no word on what caused it yet, but a tractor-trailer fire prompted a temporary closure of the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Dutton Thursday evening.

Ontario Provincial Police sent out a notice shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday saying that the eastbound lanes of the highway were closed at Iona Road near Dutton for a vehicle fire.

The Southwold Fire Department and Dutton/Dunwich Fire Department were both called to the scene and were able to get the fire under control.

Fire Crews had cleared the scene by about 8:15 p.m. Thursday.
