CK police aware of video showing kid attacking another

A video circulating on social media across Chatham-Kent has grabbed the attention of police.

It showed a kid viciously attacking another kid. It has since been taken down on different social media pages.

CK police say an investigation was launched, however, there won't be any charges. This is because the kid is under the age of 12 and the Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits people 11 and younger from being charged.

The victim is also under the age of 12.

Police add all they can do is document the details of the incident, issue a caution, and provide advice and supports to the parents or guardians.
