Warrants

On Friday just before 1 p.m. officers on general patrol located a man walking on Romneath Road in Chatham. Officers were made aware the man had a warrant for his arrest with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

The man was stopped but he ran away from officers after learning he was the subject of a warrant.

Police were able to catch the 21-year-old, arrest him and turn him over to the OPP.

Bail violation

On Friday just before 9 p.m. police received a complaint about a bail violation in Tilbury.

Police said a man, who is currently on conditions not to speak to his ex-girlfriend because of previous charges against her was continuously contacting her. Officers were able to confirm the information allowing the man to be arrested.

Police then went to the 42-year-olds home where he was placed under arrest.

He was held pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
