CK Food Banks receive $1K donations from agriculture company

Multiple Chatham-Kent food banks are getting one last big donation to end 2024.

Sylvite, a farm fertilizer company based in Burlington, is donating $30,000 to 15 different organizations across Ontario helping people put food on their tables.

This includes the Blenheim Food Bank, Chatham-Kent Salvation Army, and Chatham Outreach for Hunger who are each getting $1,000. This funding will specifically help people in Blenheim, Pain Court, and Kent Bridge.

"Food security affects so many working families, and we hope this year’s donation makes a meaningful impact," said Hugh Loomans, Sylvite's CEO.

These donations bring Sylvite's total to $130,000 donated over the past five years.
