Bothwell mail service to restart after postal office destroyed in fire

People in the Town of Bothwell won’t have to wait too much longer to receive their mail.

The community’s post office was one of three buildings destroyed in a fire last week.

In a statement to CK News Today, Canada Post explained crews will once again start delivering mailin Bothwell on Wednesday.

A temporary post office is also being set up in the Community Room at the Bothwell Town Hall.

This location won’t be open until Thursday and won’t offer any retail services. People in need of retail services are encouraged to visit the post offices in Thamesville and Wardsville.

Anyone can access the temporary office Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those looking for carded items or mail from PO boxes can receive their property at the office by showing a valid government-issued photo ID.
