One driver killed in head-on collision near Tilbury

A head-on crash just east of Tilbury has claimed a life.

Chatham-Kent police say the fatal two vehicle collision on Queens Line between Wheeler Line and Davidson Road on Monday just after 5 p.m. took the life of one of the drivers.

Police said the name of the deceased will not be released at this time out of respect for the family's privacy.

"The Chatham-Kent Police Service sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased," police said in a news release on Tuesday afternoon.

Details on the other driver or vehicles involved were not released by police either.

Police noted the investigation continues and is asking for the public's help with the ongoing investigation.
