Police seize $16K of drugs from Chatham home

CK police have taken an estimated $16,000 worth of illegal drugs off the street.

Members of the Intelligence Unit and the Emergency Response Team partnered to make the seizure from a King Street East address in Chatham.

"A quantity of fentanyl and cocaine were seized, along with other evidence to support the trafficking of illicit street drugs," police said.

A 55-year-old Chatham man is facing drug trafficking and drug possession charges. He was released from police custody with a February 27 court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
