CK police investigating intentional fire

Chatham-Kent police are asking the public for help determining who set fire to a Chatham home.

First responders were called to 170 Edgar Street at around 12:20 a.m. on January 18. According to police, there was a report of smoke coming from the home at that address.

After putting out the flames and determining that no one was inside the residence, CK Fire took over the investigation, police said. That investigation found that the fire started at multiple spots within the home, leading authorities to believe that it was intentionally set.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact Constable Rob Bowles at robbo@chatham-kent.ca or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
