Sweet campaign in support of Special Olympics

Tim Hortons' Special Olympics Donut is back.

For the sixth year, the restaurant is teaming up with Special Olympics Canada to raise funds in support of thousands of athletes across the country with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

From Friday, January 31 until Sunday, February 2, 100 per cent of the proceeds from the chocolate cake sprinkled donut will be donated to Special Olympics Canada.

To date, Tim Hortons said the exclusive donut has helped raise nearly $1 million for the national organization.

You're encouraged to post a photo of yourself and the Special Olympics donut to social media with the #ChooseToInclude.

The first Special Olympics Canada event was held in 1969 in Toronto.
