No injuries in garage fire just outside of Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue (CKFR) is trying to determine the cause of a garage fire near Wallaceburg.

Fire officials say fire crews arrived at 27856 St. Clair Road just before 1:30 p.m. on Thursday to find smoke coming from the detached garage.

Firefighters from Chatham and Wallaceburg dealt with the fire while fire crews from Dover and Tupperville helped with shuttling water to the scene.

No injuries are reported and the fire is under investigation by CKFR investigators.

The dollar amount of estimated damage is unknown at this time.

Chatham-Kent police are asking drivers to avoid St. Clair Road between Border Road and Elbow Line.
