Leamington man dies after crash near Wheatley

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a single-vehicle crash between Tilbury and Wheatley over the weekend that claimed the life of a Leamington man.

Police say they were called to the scene on Wheatley Road south of Campbell Road shortly after 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The 65-year-old Leamington man, who was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His name was not released to the public.

The Traffic Management Unit has taken over the investigation.
