Assault arrest

A 37-year-old man from Dresden has been arrested and charged with assault following a physical altercation with a 41-year-old woman from Dresden.

Chatham-Kent police said the accused was also wanted for a previous assault.

Police said a verbal dispute with the female victim escalated into a physical altercation and the victim suffered a laceration to the back of her head.

The accused turned himself in to Chatham-Kent police in Wallaceburg on Monday morning, according to police.

Warrant arrests

Three people wanted on warrants have been arrested by Chatham-Kent police.

Police said a 34-year-old woman from Thamesville turned herself in to police on Monday morning.

She was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court last week on an impaired driving charge.

Police also reported a 36-year-old man from Wallaceburg was arrested by Chatham-Kent police on Monday night after a traffic stop on Queen Street in Chatham.

He was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his probation order.

A 34-year-old man from Chatham-Kent was also arrested on Park Street in Chatham on Monday, police said.

Police reported the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his probation order.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
