Chatham to welcome former INXS frontman J.D. Fortune

Canadian singer and songwriter and former frontman of INXS, J.D. Fortune will be coming to Chatham.

He will be headlining the opening night of the Chatham Honda Ribfest on July 3.

Organizers said fans can expect the hear former INXS hits.

A portion of the proceeds Thursday night will be going towards the local hospice.

"We are looking to deliver the most memorable Ribfest this year, and J.D. just happened to be one of those offers we couldn't refuse. J.D. comes with the perfect mix of Canadian pride and nostalgia we all love," said Organizer Chris Glassford.

Fortune performed with INXS from 2005 until 2011.

Chatham's own Red Sky Cartel will open for Fortune.

Meanwhile, on Friday, 40 Hours Over and 89Next will take the stage.

Love Muscle and Big Shiny Tunes will perform on Saturday and on Sunday Qu and Lauren Victoria will perform on Sunday.

Ribfest will be held July 3 until July 6.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday there will be free admission.

The event will also have seven award-winning ribbers, vendors, local entertainment, the Mainstreet Credit Family Zone and the Labatt Garden Games.
