UPDATE: Strong winds subsiding Monday evening

Environment Canada is forecasting diminishing winds for Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The national weather agency issued a special weather statement for areas including Sarnia-Lambton, Windsor-Essex, and Chatham Kent.

Strong southwesterly wind gusts to nearly 80 kilometres per hour were expected as a low-pressure system tracks north of the area.

Winds are expected to gradually weaken overnight, with gusts reaching 50 kilometres per hour.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
