CK youth able to apply for annual YMCA awards

The YMCA of Southwestern Ontario is looking to award several Chatham-Kent youths with $1,000.

The organization is bringing back the Celebration of Youth Awards, which aims to recognize youth who are making a difference in their community.

A total of 11 awards with a $1,000 prize will be handed out. They focus on leadership, sensitivity to others, innovation, development of personal talents, overcoming personal challenges, and community service. There will also be special consideration for youth facing financial barriers.

Applications can be made online and must be sent in by May 11, 2025.

The winners will be announced at the YMCA’s Celebration of Youth Awards Event on June 18, 2025.
