CK's Salvation Army offices on the move

It's not just the Salvation Army's Ridgetown thrift store facing changes.

Major Larry Bridger has confirmed that the Chatham Family Services office will be relocating.

According to the Salvation Army, there are two main reasons for the move to 46 Orangewood Boulevard.

"It has become necessary to make this move given our current staffing situation and to allow us more space for commencing new programs in the months ahead to better serve our clientele," said a release from the organization. "By making the move to our Orangewood location, we will also have additional staff in the building to ensure uninterrupted service to those who reach out to The Salvation Army for needed assistance."

The added space should allow for new programming opportunities and the new location will also allow the Salvation Army to provide services in an area where they were not available before.

"We are excited about this new venture and look forward to continuing to serve the community," the Salvation Army said.

The last day of operations at the Raleigh Street location will be May 16.

Operations will begin at the Orangewood Blvd. location on May 20.
