Downburst recorded in Chatham-Kent

A small section of Chatham-Kent recently experience a downburst.

According to the Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP), an EF0 downburst happened on May 16 at around 2:15 a.m. south of Chatham.

A max wind speed of 130 km/h was recorded.

The NTP say damage was recorded over a 9 km area, with several buildings taking the brunt of the storm.

No injuries were reported.

Other areas that saw damage was Shrewsbury in Chatham-Kent and Windsor.
