The town of Blenheim will be a very busy spot on Saturday, May 31.
The Blenheim Rotary Club will host Discover Blenheim, a free event, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Residents start the day by stopping by Talbot Trail Place to pick up a map from the Rotary Club members.
"That map gives you all the information that you'll need for the day, including the town-wide yard sales, the market, and the community resource information fair that's at the park," said organizer Debbie Brush. "Then we have 11 locations for the Open Doors."
The community resource fair and market is a one-stop shop to find out about different groups, and events and activities in Chatham-Kent.
"We have a number of organizations, businesses, and clubs, educational, health and wellness, and the CK Play Rangers," said Brush. "So we encourage people to come and visit Talbot Trail Place to see all the things that are set up there, as well as the market."
Brush added that the fourth event is Open Doors, which allows residents to visit 11 different businesses in the Blenheim area.
"That's where we have participants who open their doors to have people come in. We have the Band Box, the Blenheim Military Museum, Sheepdog Animation, Mindful Market, the new Boat Works Social House, FormFit Gym, Blenheim Youth Centre, Level Up Arcade is having some special. Pastime Pieces, which is a quilting fabric shop out here. Then we have free swims at the Rotary pool, and then we also have a knitting shop, Knit Sew Well. So we're quite excited about the different open doors that we have for this year."
