Elderly Chatham man airlifted to hospital after crash

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a crash that resulted in serious injuries for an 88-year-old man from Chatham.

CK police said they were called to the scene shortly before 7:30 a.m. Saturday after an SUV that was heading west on Richmond Street in Chatham collided with a vintage car that was heading south on Bloomfield Road.

Officers said the collision took place in the middle of the intersection.

The 27-year-old Windsor woman who was driving the SUV was taken to the hospital for treatment of what police described as "minor injuries" while the driver of the vintage vehicle was airlifted to a hospital.
