Highway 401 sign. (Photo by Eli Unger/ iStock via Getty Images Plus)The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has reopened westbound Highway 401 after what was reported as a vehicle fire.
The incident happened Monday afternoon on the highway near Ridgetown.
Few details were made available but westbound traffic was being diverted off the 401 at Victoria Road, then back on at Kent Bridge Road.
The OPP reported shortly before 8 p.m. Monday that the westbound lanes were open again.
