An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A Chatham-Kent man is facing charges following an investigation of a stolen camper trailer from Movariantown.Elgin County OPP announced Tuesday it arrested and charged a 49-year-old with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.According to police, around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, members of the Moraviantown First Nations Police received a report of a possible stolen camper trailer located on a property on Centre Road.The accused is scheduled to appear in Chatham court next month.Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
