Chatham man charged with theft of a camper

A Chatham-Kent man is facing charges following an investigation of a stolen camper trailer from Movariantown.

Elgin County OPP announced Tuesday it arrested and charged a 49-year-old with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

According to police, around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, members of the Moraviantown First Nations Police received a report of a possible stolen camper trailer located on a property on Centre Road.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Chatham court next month.
