Update: 3 CK police officers treated for smoke inhalation after Pine Street fire

Crews from two Chatham fire stations were called to a blaze Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m., firefighters from Stations #1 and #2 in Chatham were called to the Maple Court Apartments at 85 Pine Street.

Crews worked to contain the blaze, which was accomplished by 2:30 p.m.

"During the incident, three Chatham-Kent Police Service officers were treated at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for minor smoke inhalation," the CK fire department said. "All three officers have since been released."

The cause of the fire is under investigation, with assistance from the Office of the Fire Marshal.
