Damage pegged at $200K after fire in Chatham

The damage is estimated at $200,000 and the cause is still under investigation after a fire at a multi-unit home in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent fire crews were called to the scene at 404 Grand Avenue East at 8 p.m. Monday and saw heavy flames coming from the residence when they arrived.

Firefighters at the scene were able to quickly get the fire under control and put out the flames.

The Office of the Fire Marshal will be at the scene today investigating the blaze.

As of Tuesday morning, CK fire officials were not reporting any injuries as a result of the incident.
