Update: Erie Street South reopens in Wheatley after crash

The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a crash in Wheatley that sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.

Around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, police were called to a single-vehicle crash on Erie Street South. One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Erie Street South is now reopened between Hickson Road and Deer Run Road.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the OPP at 1-88-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-310-1122.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
