Collision causes power outage in Chatham

Hundreds of customers were without power because of a crash.

On Sunday, July 6 at 9:50 a.m. Entegrus Inc. said more than 350 customers were without power in the area of Park Avenue East and Park Avenue.

Crews were on site until late in the morning, working to replace the damaged poles.

Approximately 300 customers had their lights back on by 11:20 a.m. and the power was fully restored by 4 p.m.

Further details on injuries or the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
