Boil water advisory issued for Leamington neighbourhood

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for a Leamington neighbourhood on the west end of town.

The Health Unit says due to an adverse water sample result, some customers serviced by the Union Water Supply System are under a boil water advisory until further notice.

The advisory applies to the following residences:

- Fuller Avenue (addresses 2 through 13)

- Grace Avenue (addresses 6 through 35)

- Kimball Avenue (addresses 1 through 12)

- Nancy Avenue (addresses 14 through 30, but excluding 17 as this property is serviced from Pearl Avenue).

An online map of impacted properties has also been provided.

The Health Unit advises that water brought to a hard boil for one minute before it is used for consumption, infant feeding, or food and ice preparation. Alternatively, bottled water sources can be used.

For more information, visit the Health Unit website or contact the Environmental Health Department at 519-258-2146, ext. 4475.
