Orville Wright Pool to reopen after "aggression" towards staff

In a welcome move during an extended heat warning, the temporary closure of the Orville Wright Pool in Chatham will end Wednesday afternoon.

The pool was closed following some recent incidents of aggression toward municipal staff.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent said that the pool would be open by 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for recreational swimmers.

The municipality reminds all community members that all pool users must follow the rules put in place and listen to staff instructions, adding that disrespectful, threatening, and aggressive actions won't be tolerated.
