CK, Leamington teens facing robbery charges

Two teenagers have been charged after allegedly robbing a man in Leamington.

The incident happened on June 5 on Alderton Street.

An 18-year-old man told Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) he was assaulted by two people, suffering minor injuries as a result.

After investigating, OPP arrested and charged a 16-year-old from Chatham-Kent and a 17-year-old from Leamington. Neither can be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Both have been charged with robbery and disguise with intent. The CK teen was also charged with uttering threats, while the Leamington teen was charged with disobeying an order of court.

Neither was charged with assault.

Each has since been released from custody with a future court date in Windsor.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
