Child pornography charges laid against CK man

A man from Chatham-Kent has been charged with several child pornography offences.

Chatham-Kent police said they arrested and charged the 41-year-old local man with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, and making child pornography on Tuesday.

Police said officers seized several electronic devices during a search of his home in January 2025 after receiving information from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2024 that a Chatham-Kent resident was sharing child sexual abuse material on the social media platform, Kik Messenger.

Police alleged the man was also purchasing child sexual abuse material online.

The investigation continues.

The suspect's name has not been released.
