Cogeco to launch mobile service in CK

Chatham residents will soon have a new option for cell phone service.

On Wednesday, Cogeco announced that the official launch of its mobile service in Canada will happen this fall.

"The launch of Cogeco Mobile is not just a new chapter, it's a bold declaration of our unwavering commitment to be a competitive force in Canada," said Frédéric Perron, the company's President and CEO.

More than a dozen markets in Ontario and Quebec, including Chatham, will have the chance to sign up for a free year of mobile service.

According to the company, the cell phone plans will be available to new and existing Cogeco Internet customers who bring their own device.
