Multi-day heat event continues.

What:
Daytime highs of 30 to 33 degrees Celsius, with humidex values of 37 to 40. 
Overnight lows of 20 to 23 degrees Celsius.

When:
Continuing through tonight then possibly Wednesday for some areas.

Additional information:
A slightly cooler and less humid air mass will slowly move in Wednesday from the northwest, bringing the heat event to an end for most areas. However, here is the possibility that eastern Ontario and the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas could see hot and humid conditions continue into Wednesday. Temperatures Wednesday night will drop to the mid to upper teens, bringing the heat event to an end for remaining areas. 

Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high risk category.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

A 54-year-old man was killed in a house fire in West Elgin.Emergency crews were called to a fully involved structure fire just before 10:55 p.m. on Pioneer Line in Rodney between Furnival Road and Blacks Road on Friday.West Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the single family home was destroyed and the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Service (FIS), Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Fire Marshal.The road was closed for 18 hours while crews investigated, but reopened just after 6 a.m. on Sunday.
