Barnstormers' Goodwin earns top weekly honours with hot bat

Another Chatham-Kent Barnstormers player is taking home a weekly honour in the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL).

One week after Andrew Groening was named the IBL Batter of the Week, Barnstormers shortstop Sadler Goodwin was named the league's Player of the Week for Week 13.

Goodwin was red hot at the plate, batting in 8 RBIs while going .500 at the plate and hitting four home runs and a triple.

Most of that production came in a 19-4 blowout win over the Brantford Red Sox when Goodwin hit three home runs and racked up five RBIs.

The Barnstormers close out their regular season with a pair of road games in London on Friday and Welland on Saturday.

The Barnstormers are currently sitting in fourth place in the IBL standings, but they are only one win behind Barrie and London, who are in a tie for second place behind Welland.
