18U Diamonds win OBA tournament

The 18U Chatham Diamonds are provincial champions.

Chatham-Kent hosted the 18U B Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) tournament over the weekend.

After dropping their opening game 7-6 to Orillia on Friday, the Diamonds went on a run.

They beat Brockon 11-1, Leamington 9-3, and Kawartha 5-0.

Then in the semi-finals on Sunday, the Diamonds downed Woodstock 16-1 to advance to the finals.

They beat Tillsonburg 3-2 in game one at Fergie Jenkins Field, then got by the Otters with a 7-6 walk-off win in game two.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
