Labour Day closures across CK

It's the last long weekend before school starts. With that comes closures across Chatham-Kent.

Municipal offices and most services will be closed on Monday for Labour Day.

Both Housing Services and Emergency Services have emergency numbers during the closure. In the case of police, fire, or ambulance, dial 911. If you have a housing emergency, call the Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628.

Entegrus, Public Works, the Public Utilities Commission, and the Service Ontario locations in Chatham and Dresden will be closed on Monday.

CK Public Health will be also be closed on Labour Day, while Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) will have altered services.

Hemodialysis Care will be open on Monday, as will Emergency Departments at both CKHA locations. Anyone with a scheduled appointment is advised to still come.

All pools, arenas, libraries, museums, galleries, and theatres will be closed on Monday.

Leaf and Yard Depots and Waste Depots will not be open, while curbside pickup will be delayed by one day.

No Ride CK services will be in operation on Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
