Intimate Partner Violence Arrest

Charges of assault and uttering death threats have been laid against a Chatham-Kent man after an altercation at a home in Tilbury.

Chatham-Kent police allege a 39-year-old local man struck a 45-year-old woman from Tilbury multiple times, restricting her breathing.

The alleged assault happened on Tuesday shortly before 9 a.m.

Police alleged that the victim was also assaulted by the accused last month, adding that she suffered injuries in that incident that required medical attention.

The accused has been charged with three counts of assault causing bodily harm, five counts of assault, and uttering death threats.

Another Intimate Partner Violence Arrest

A Chatham man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm following a domestic disturbance in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police alleged a 53-year-old man from Chatham choked a woman and knocked her to the ground during a fight on Tuesday at approximately 7:05 a.m.

Police said the victim had visible signs of injury, but declined medical assistance.

Road Rage Arrest

A road rage fight has led to charges against a 32-year-old man from Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police say a fight took place between the accused and a 63-year-old man on Wednesday at approximately 8:48 a.m. after two vehicles sideswiped each other on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

The victim sustained minor injuries, but medical assistance was not required, according to police.

The 32-year-old accused was arrested and charged with assault.
