Carney heads to Washington for CUSMA talks with Trump

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced he will be travelling to Washington.

Carney is scheduled to depart Monday evening for the U.S. capital, where he will hold talks with United States President Donald Trump.

Both countries launched consultations last month that will inform preparations for the first joint review of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA).

They are expected to discuss shared priorities related to a renewed economic and security partnership between Canada and the United States.

The talk between the two leaders is slated for Tuesday.
