Chatham fire under investigation

No one was injured during a house fire in Chatham earlier this week.

The blaze broke out Monday afternoon on Grand Ave West near the intersection where Lacroix Street and Sandys Street split.

According to Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue, there was no one in the home during the fire.

The extent of the damage and cause of the blaze are unknown at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
