The blaze broke out Monday afternoon on Grand Ave West near the intersection where Lacroix Street and Sandys Street split.
According to Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue, there was no one in the home during the fire.
The extent of the damage and cause of the blaze are unknown at this time.
The Kindergarten to Grade 12 school, located in Forest, will consolidate four schools and serve the communities of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, Lambton Shores and Plympton-Wyoming.
