CKPS launches new online reporting tool

The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) is now offering residents a new online reporting tool for non-emergency crimes.

The tool can be found on the CKPS website.

Police said the new tool enhances community access, reduces wait times, improves access, and ensures concerns are handled swiftly and thoroughly.

"It’s another stride in modernizing how residents engage with police when support is needed most. We’re proud to introduce our new online reporting tool from Rubicon, offering Chatham-Kent residents a faster, more convenient way to report non-emergency crimes. Accessible 24/7, it enhances how we receive and manage reports, helping officers prioritize urgent calls while ensuring all issues are properly addressed. This is a meaningful advancement in public safety, aimed at reinforcing trust and improving service between our police and the community,” said Deputy CK Police Chief Jason Chickowski.

According to police, a new feature has been added to the CK police non-emergency phone line using Rubicon’s automated voice solution. When callers select the option to report online, the system guides them through the process and immediately sends a secure link to their mobile device to complete the report.
