CK police charge man after vehicle crashes, flips

A 29-year-old Chatman man is facing multiple charges after a vehicle crashed into a parked car.

At around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police were called to Forest Street in Chatham for a single-vehicle collision.

When officers arrived, they found an overturned vehicle with no driver.

After investigating, they identified the person believed to have been behind the wheel and arrested him.

He's been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and failing to remain at the scene.

The man has since been released from custody with a future court date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
