Over 300g of cocaine seized by CK police

Chatham-Kent (CK) police have seized around $35,000 worth of cocaine.

On October 15, officers saw two people talking in a parking lot. When the officers approached and asked to speak with them, one of them ran away while carrying a bag.

During the pursuit, the suspect reportedly attempted to get rid of the bag. Officers recovered the bag and found 349 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, and cash inside it.

Police were able to arrest the suspect, a 19-year-old Chatham man, and charged him with possession with the purpose of trafficking.

He was also charged with failing to comply with a release order.

The man remains in police custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
