Chatham man wins $100K

A Chatham-Kent resident is $100,000 richer thanks to a scratch ticket.

Robert Dube, 82, won the money after buying an Instant Bingo Doubler ticket at Lucky 7 Variety on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.

This was his first major win after buying tickets for years.

"I wasn’t sure whether I’d gotten all the numbers. When my daughter came over and confirmed my win, she was overwhelmed with happiness and cried tears of joy," said Dube.

He plans on sharing the money with his family. Dube also wants to use some of the money to continue his hobby of creating homes out of LEGO.
