Trial dates have finally been set for the two people charged with arson after an affordable housing complex in Chatham was badly damaged by fire over a year ago.
Leonard Greason, 48, of London, and co-accused Erin Ott, 31, of Chatham, will be tried in Chatham court on January 27, March 11, 24, 25, and 26, 2026.
They are both charged with arson with disregard for human life in connection with the fire.
Greason is still in custody while Ott is out on bail for a second time. They had their trial confirmation hearings in Chatham court on Wednesday morning.
The municipality previously reported that the fire at 99 McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham started in B Block on August 25, 2024, displacing approximately 100 residents.
The two cases have a publication ban that prohibits any evidence from being made public.
