Chatham Goodfellows ready for Porchlight Campaign

Don't be surprised to get a knock on your door tonight if you leave your porchlight on.

Hundreds of volunteers will go door-to-door on Monday, December 1st, for the Chatham Goodfellows annual Porchlight campaign.

Volunteers wearing red aprons will be collecting donations of cash, food, and toys for the No Child Without a Christmas Campaign.

Last year, $54,000 was collected, along with 120 boxes of food and toys.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
