Chatham man arrested for breaching weapons order

A Chatham man ordered by the court not to have any weapons is back in police custody following a disturbance call in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent (CK) police said they received a call about a disturbance at a home on Orchard Heights in Chatham just before 10 p.m. Monday. They arrested a 47-year-old Chatham man on an outstanding arrest warrant from November 9 for allegedly failing to comply with court orders in May not to possess any weapons.

CK police said they arrested a man who was allegedly uttering threats to harm various individuals on November 9 and seized several weapons, including:

·A silver Crossman revolver air pistol

·An Archery Research Desert Hawk crossbow

·A Crossman F-11.22 caliber air riffle

·An antique single-shot pistol (unknown make/model)

·Pellets and nine arrows

The accused was taken to the hospital for further assessment on November 9, and an arrest warrant was issued following the investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
