Man charged after vehicle window smashed, driver threatened

Several charges have been laid against a man after Chatham-Kent police alleged he smashed a vehicle window with a hockey stick.

Police said the suspect approached another man in his vehicle on Bourdeau Place and Keil Drive South in Chatham on Sunday evening, allegedly threatened him, and then smashed the vehicle window with a hockey stick before allegedly attempting to assault the driver.

Police reported no injuries.

The 39-year-old accused was arrested and was charged with uttering threats, mischief, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
